Best Chromebook Cases for Students

We run a repair lab. We see every model of Chromebook come back broken. Here is what actually holds up in a K-12 1:1 program, ranked by what we see survive a full school year.

What to look for

  • MIL-STD-810G drop rating at 4 feet or higher. Anything less is a phone case, not a Chromebook case.
  • Reinforced corners and hinge. The hinge is the number one failure point we see. Cases without hinge coverage do not last.
  • Always-on design. If a student has to remove the case, it will get lost. Period.
  • Asset tag window. Saves your tech team hours during inventory.
  • Charging cart fit. Bulky cases that do not fit your existing carts are a hidden cost.

A case is not a coverage plan

Even the best case will not stop every drop, spill, or lost device. KBS Coverage handles the rest. Parents enroll, schools stop eating repair costs, and our lab ships devices back in about four business days.
