What a good case actually does
- Cuts cracked screen claims by 50 to 60% on a school year basis.
- Stops corner impact damage that turns into hinge cracks 6 months later.
- Keeps liquid out of the keyboard if a water bottle tips on the desk.
- Adds a grip surface so younger kids drop the device less often.
- Gives you a clear case-or-no-case answer if the school charges a damage fee.
- Adds 2 to 3 years to the useful life of the same Chromebook.

Frequently asked questions
Will a case void my child's school Chromebook warranty?+
No. Snap shells and OEM screw mount cases keep the warranty intact. Avoid adhesive mounts on the chassis, those can leave residue that complicates the warranty conversation.
How much should a good Chromebook case cost?+
A solid school grade always-on case costs $18 to $32. Cheaper than $15 usually means thin TPU that splits in 6 months. More than $35 is rarely necessary for a student device.
Do I need to match the case to the Chromebook model?+
Yes. Always-on cases are model specific. Check the exact model number on the bottom of the Chromebook and match it before you buy. KBS will help you confirm fit.
Can my child put stickers on the case?+
Stickers on the case are fine and a great way for students to take ownership. Avoid stickers on the actual Chromebook chassis since most schools require a clean device at end of year.
What if the school provided a case already?+
Keep it on. A factory issued case usually has the warranty conversation pre-handled with the district and the OEM. If it is damaged, ask the school to replace it rather than buying a different one.
