Spills, condensation, snow. iPads do not have a drain path, so fast reporting is critical.

How much does it cost to fix a cracked iPad screen?+
Out of pocket runs $150 to $329 depending on the model. iPad 10th gen screens are around $200. iPad Pro 11" runs $350 to $400. With KBS school year coverage the parent pays $0 to $50 per claim.
Does AppleCare apply to a school iPad?+
Usually no. School iPads are enrolled in DEP or ASM and managed under district AppleCare for Schools or carry no warranty at all. Family AppleCare does not transfer to a school device.
Is iPad insurance worth it for a student?+
Yes if the device leaves the building daily. iPads break differently than Chromebooks. The screen and Lightning or USB-C port are the most common failures.
What about the Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard?+
Most KBS school plans include the iPad itself and offer add-on coverage for Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard accessories at a small extra cost.
Can I enroll an older iPad my child uses at school?+
Yes. Coverage applies to any school issued iPad in working condition at the time of enrollment. We cannot enroll a device that is already cracked.
